Black bear is scarce internationally wild animals from which
it is assumed that there is fear of extermination and is prohibited
transacting by Washington Convention.
However, the protective policy is hardly taken, and is caught
and kill about 2000 by hunting and harmful exterminating in Japan
every year.
The number of Japanese black bears of presumption living is assumed
to be about 8000-12000 in the entire Mainland. Japanese black
bear has already been exterminated in Kyushu, and it is only a
lot in Shikoku alive. It starts exterminating the local population
in West Japan.
